Description: At a recent estate sale in Southern Mass., I purchased a small lot of wooden tribal masks. I am not certain as to their age or place of origin. The estate belonged to a couple who I was told traveled to Central American, South America, and Africa. These masks were purchased on their journeys. They could be authentic tribal or produced for tourist trade. In either case, they are exceptional decorative items. Some have attachments of holes to allow them to be hung from the wall. This auction is for a large hand carved wooden mask. It is distinguished by a large carved turtle to its top portion. There is an eyehook on the back upper portion for wall hanging. The mask measures 24.125 inches long and 8.5 inches at its widest point. It is in excellent conditon with just evn surface wear. A must have for the collector. Being offered at a LOW price.
