KIG Indonesia Geometric Stars & Bars Pattern 6” Crystal Glass Dessert Plate

Description: Stand-Alone Clear KIG Indonesia 6" Glass Plate Stars and Bars dessert plate.The KIG (Kedaung Industrial Group) Indonesia stamp is located on the plate. Although this 6" plate is a beauty, it isn't centuries old...in fact, it was probably made during the mid-twentieth century. With that said, this is a rare plate on the market, known as "Stars and Bars." It may have another name, but I haven't found it in any replacement site for KIG International, and I only found two other plates for sale (one was marked as EAPG). The Group's headquarters, P.T. Kedaung Industrial Ltd., was established in 1969, with the primary aim of supplying the rapidly-growing Indonesian domestic market with glass and tableware. They still exist and now sell internationally. The plate is a great showcase piece on a stand, especially with a dark background to emphasize the Modern-era patterns. Some shelf wear scratches (minor) are evident with a magnifying glass, but otherwise this plate is clean -- no nicks or chips and no bubbles (which also places the glass in the 20th century). There is one dent along the rim, where it appears the glass didn't sink into the mold. You can feel the dent when you run your finger along the edge...otherwise, it's imperceptible. No original box, no stand. The plate is "as is." The plate is 6" in diameter, and it is about 1/2" deep including the base.
