The book remains in Very Good condition, especially when considering it is over 141 years old! This stunning book remains visually appealing on the inside and outside. The decorative Victorian era binding is a mix between a burgundy and a brown color. The binding is tight, solid, and secure with no loose or missing pages. The back interior joint of this book has a split between the back cover and the last free endpaper, exposing the webbing underneath. The interior remains complete and secure. The title page shows some tanning, while the remaining pages only show a bit of tanning around the edges of the pages. This book contains decorative floral patterned endpapers and a built in ribbon page marker to hold your place while reading. The interior text block still has sharp corners and clean edges, much like the exterior covers. The pages remain clean and free of markings, with no spotting, soiling, rips or tears inside.
