Description: Huge 1901 Lourdes Hand-Carved Rosary This is a remarkable antique rosary. It has a large wood crucifix with a metal corpus. The Tools of the Passion are carved into the crucifix surrounding Our Lord. Beneath the "INRI" the words "to serve Lord Christ" are carved in French while the reverse reads "Souvenir of the jubilee year of Lourdes 1901". The medallion above the crucifix reads: "Go drink at the fountain and wash yourself there". "Souvenir of Our Lady of Lourdes" and "Immaculate Heart of Mary, Pray for us" are carved into the heart shaped centerpiece.
