Hollywood Gun Shop Turret Reloading Reloader Press Type III

Description: Hollywood Gun Shop Type III Turret Reloading Reloader Press 12 Hole 1.5" and 7/8". It will load cartridges up to six inches long, I think it's from the 1940s as I have the model from the 30s and the 50s. Wonderful old Original Hollywood GunShop Turret Press. This press has 12 die holes, four shell holder stations and four priming stations. With the correct dies and shell holders, it can be used to load just about any pistol and rifle metallic cartridges and shotshells. I think it would work to load 20 mm rounds if needed! Sold as shown, except that no loading dies nor shell holders are included. I do have an adaptor from C&H dies that will permit the use of universal RCBS type shell holders. The adaptor is included with the press. (See last 2 photos). The shotgun dies and powder and shot measures are there to show what the dies look like and what the press is capable of. Priming tools for small and large primers, and shotgun priming tools (2) are included. the turret has twelve threaded holes in all; three holes for large 1-1/2" Standard Hollywood shotshell Dies and nine 7/8" -14 for standard size dies. powder and shot measures. Adapters have been ordered to convert the 1-1/2-12 threads to 1-1/4-12 and/or 7/8-14 threads. The 1-1/4-12 threads accept 50 BMG dies and the 7/8-14 accept standard dies. There is no rust on the press, because it is cast aluminum. Most of the original factory crinkle paint is still there. There may be minor rust on the steel parts but everything works It is ready to polish up and mount to your loading bench. Neat primer feed assembly holds 4 different primer holders on a turret so one can choose between small and large rifle/pistol and shotgun. There is a fourth primer holder space for 50 BMG or whatever. The shell holder also works the same way by holding 4 sizes on a turret. Just spin to the size you want and you are ready to load. You could put six two -die sets or four three-die sets on the turret press and with the appropriate shell holders and primer tools, never have to remove anything to load ammunition. The beauty of this massive beast is that it can be used for any shotshell loading and metallic cartridge loading. , I don't think there is a caliber that this loader won't handle to include 50 BMG and even larger cartridges such as the 600 Nitro Express. The last two photos show a 60 caliber Air Force machine gun round, even bigger than the 50 BMG. A 20mm cartridge is also shown for comparison. It's a little too large for this press. Hollywood sold these primarily for loading 50 BMG and an also sold a full line of shotgun dies. But they touted this press as one that could load everything. This press has 6 inches of throw and will load just about everything!
