THE MAP ON THE REVERSE SIDE IS NOT SHOWN IN THE SCANS. NOTE THE LIST OF RAILROADS ON THE MAP THAT IDENTIFIES ALL THE RAILROADS OPERATED IN THE STATE IN 1952. THIS PERIOD WAS THE LAST OF THE STEAM ERA AND THE TIME OF TRANSITION TO DIESEL OPERATIONS. THE MAPS SHOW THE EXTENT OF THE RAILROAD SYSTEM OF THIS REGION AT THE END OF THE STEAM ERA BEFORE THE MANY CONSOLIDATIONS WHICH REDUCED THE NUMBER OF RAILROADS IN THIS REGION. THE MAP IS A VERY VALUABLE TOOL IN TRACING REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT AND HISTORY. IF YOU BUY THE MAP USING THE "BUY IT NOW OPTION" I WILL INCLUDE A 4X6 INCH PRINT OF ONE OF THE LISTED RAILROADS OPERATING IN THE STATE IN 1952.
