I have owned them since they were published, and I was an enthusiastic backpacker. Although I never fulfilled my dream of hiking the entire AT, these stories and photographs kept me inspired for many years. The dust jackets are well worn, with damaged edges and some tape repairs on the inside. The books are in excellent condition overall. Volume 2 has my name (Dee) on the front free endpaper, and also the binding is separating at the back of Volume 2 (see photos). No other writing, marking, bends, folds or tears.
