The complete serialization was published in The Graphic from Sept. 1, 1900 through March 2, 1901; Vol. 62 and 63, Nos. 1605 to 1631. Bound in brown and black leather half boards, ruled in gilt with paper label titling pasted to cover, marbled paper paste downs. Folio sized approx. 12" x 16". Illustrations by Jacomb Hood. Whatmore F24 (5). This is an incomplete collection of the serialized issues - the following is the list of missing parts: From the issue dated 9/22/1900 , 1 page is missing following p. 426 containing the end of chapter 5 and the beginning of chapter 6; From the issue dated 10/6/1900 , 1 page is missing following p. 506 containing the end of chapter 8 and the beginning of chapter 9; From the issue dated 1/5/1901 , 1 page is missing following p. 18 containing the end of chapter 22 and the beginning of chapter 23; and the final 8 issues from Jan. 12- March 2, 1901 (3 pgs. per issue). The binding is in Good condition with wear and taped hinge. The actual magazine pages are in Nearly Fine condition;Some toning to the edges of some of the cream colored pages.
