Description: A stunning Green Lustre Glass Fairy Light. With hallmarked Silver Rim hallmarked for Chester 1911 Silver smith looks to be Richard Owen Williams, a particularly attractive and early item for this maker. A beautiful shape and wonderful design, by far the best candle jar type fairly light I’ve ever seen, or been lucky enough to have owned. The glass has a wonderful lustre finish to it with a beautiful mother of pearl sheen when held in the light. The glass is perfect, the silver has a couple of dings and signs of use, but not much wear. The hallmarks are still crisp and strong. This fairy light looks absolutely beautiful when lit from within using either a candle or a small led light. Unfortunately the origins of the piece, aside from the silver smith, have been lost to time. The quality of the piece, the over all appearance and feel of it, it would have been a very expensive decoration at the time and to me screams of being Liberties or similar.
