Description: A framed art print by George Wright (1860–1942), a British painter of coaching and hunting scenes. This was framed by W. King Ambler who, at the time it was framed, incorrectly attributed the piece to George Hand Write, an American artist. The signature gives it away, however, and clearly belongs to George Wright of England. The bottom right of this print reads E.W. Savory Ltd Bristol, which was a printer and fine art publisher in chromolithography in England from 1889-1920. This etching, titled "Well Up To Time at the Turnpike," captures a rural scene from the 19th century, depicting a horse drawn coach, with four coachman sitting atop the carriage. I'm not sure of an exact date, but can safely guess the print is pre-1920. It was probably framed in the 60s or 70s. Framed, the piece measures approximately 18 inches wide and 18 1/2 inches tall. Light wear to the gold-gilt frame, the print itself is safely protected under glass. There is a tear to the dust cover on the back.
