Description: I purchased this exquisite saddle with fine leather, years ago for my National Champion Gaited Pinto stallion. When the saddle was placed on him it was recognized that the pommel was broken. Thus I had one ride in this saddle before a new one was purchased for him. The saddle was put away with the intention of having it repaired. It was given proper care for my plan of having it repaired for showing never happened. It is a shame that this elegant piece of artistry would go un-repaired . I am certain that a good saddle maker could repair it with the strong glues and metal bindings that we have along with its easy access to the spot of repair under the pommel in the gullet. Precisionsaddletree.com will repair it for $250.The leather of this saddle is in excellent condition and has been stored and cared for regularly. However, that said this saddle has a broken gullet under the pommel and is clearly seen in the pictures I have taken. I believe with a reputable saddle maker as i just stated,the injury could be fixed and this beautiful saddle returned to its original glory. I found a Denny Lowe on YOUTUBE (Springfield Leather) that spends over an hour explaining how to do just that in "Saddle Repair with Denny Lowe" Please consider this investment for such a good saddle. My original plan was to repair it but life happens. I am late in my years and the "want too, out weighs the will be for me."Now with the passing of my gaited stallion I am cleaning out his old things and I am selling this saddle and another listing in eBay for his brown Crump bridle.
