Description: This is a rare March 30th, 1963 "Playgoer" playbill from the Pre-Broadway tryout and WORLD PREMIERE engagement of the IRWIN SHAW comedy "CHILDREN FROM THEIR GAMES" at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. (The production would open April 11th, 1963 at the Morosco Theatre in New York City and close after only four performances.) ..... The play starred MARTIN GABEL and FAYE EMERSON (replaced out-of-town by PEGGY CASS) and featured JOHN McMARTIN, BRENDA VACCARO, BERNIE WEST, GENE HACKMAN (in what would be his Broadway debut) and RALPH PURDUM .....
