Description: A fine Short Haired German Pointer or possibly Brittany Spaniel Hunt Scene(I would appreciate it if you dog experts would let me know which one is correct.) This appears to be an oil painting.This painting looks much better in person. My camera does not capture the thick, impasto brush strokes or the bright, rich colors. (I took photos in bright, natural light and in a darker area). Professionally framed in Glenview, Illinois. The frame has some very minor scuffing. NO odors, staining or fading with just a few tiny specks of missing paint. Painting is dated 1964 The signature appears to be "Sorg" or "Song". If "Sorg" is correct, it could possibly be Sanford Sorg.Sorg was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 18, 1912. He lived in Los Angeles in 1936 and later returned to Ohio. He died in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1998. If anyone has any info on Sorg please advise. This will be securely packaged. Please look at the pictures; they are considered part of my description.
