LOCKING NUT MIGHTY MITE Bottom Mount 4 Electric Guitar New old stock Floyd Rose Licensed locking nut sold by Mighty Mite which has been around since the 1970's. These retail new for $27.95 each on the Mighty Mite site, item PL002BBM. You get the nut base, 3 locking clamp blocks, 3 locking clamp block screws, and 2 mounting screws (9 pieces total for each nut...auction is for one complete locking nut and includes the hex key allen wrench tool). Made of real Steel and a magnet will stick to them! Don't buy the cheap Chinese knockoffs that are made of non-magnetic Zinc Pot metal and will strip out if you tighten the locking clamp screws too tight, but you have to tighten them pretty tight in order to stay in tune, so in time the cheap knockoffs will strip out or crack and then you have to shop for another one and waste more time/money fixing your guitar rather than playing it! The cheaper ones are made of light weight Zinc, and a magnet will not stick to them.....think about it, your guitar's strings are made of steel so why would you use cheaper Zinc to rest your strings onto? You want the vibrations from your strings to transfer into the metal and through your guitars woods for the best tone and sustain, if you use the cheaper zinc ones then you will be short circuiting your guitars natural tone and sustain system just to save a few bucks!
