Description: THIS Stunning Pre WWII 1935 Singer Featherweight 221 IS A RARE FIND. May I introduce you to Abigail. You will not find many 1935 featherweights in the good of condition. Abigail is 89 years old and in amazing shape. She was born December 30, 1935 (Serial number AE061058). She has some wonderful items you don't find on most featherweights today like the wrap around decorative bed decals, Egyptian scroll face plate, original chrome tension unit, chrome stitch length regulator, chrome hand wheel, split base by the power terminal and chrome school bell. Abigail's bed is in excellent shape for her age. The finish on her is in amazing condition for 89 years old with a bright shine and some light scratches. The decorative border around her base is in remarkable condition. (Please look at pictures). As you can see from the pictures Abigail is one of the cleanest featherweights from top to bottom out there.Abigail has been cleaned, serviced, polished and tested. Her belt (super belt), light (LED), felt pad, protective silicon button, bed cushions and red spool pin cover are all new. Abigail has had her motor pulley removed to check for thread, the rotary hook assembly and balanced wheel have also been checked for any thread. Her foot pedal has been inspected, cleaned, new cushion put on and is in good condition. The foot pedal also has a new electrical cord. Abigail's bobbin case has been set to 23g. A new Schmetz mircotex needle has also been put in Abigail. Abigail's house (the case) is in very good condition for 89 years old. As usual there are some dings but the case is solid and both latches work. Inside the case is the removable tray and oil can holder. I have replaced the handle on the case with a reproduction handle from that time period from the Featherweight Shop (please see pictures as they are part of the description). Abigail's house also comes with a key that didn't make the pictures. Abigail comes with a huge amount of attachments: a new reproduction owner’s manual (in pristine condition), 3 bobbins, an original bobbin case, an original pressor foot, a narrow hemmer, a ruffler, a bias binder multi slotted with guide pins, an adjustable hemmer, a wide zipper foot, a gathering foot (AKA shirring foot), an edge stitcher, a magnetic seam guide, thread snipers, a measuring guide, a life is short buy the fabric bag, a small Singer screwdriver, 20 micro cleaning brushes and an original Singer oil can. All the attachments are in a vintage Singer attachment box that is in good condition. (as with most attachment boxes there is always a little wear and tear)Abigail comes with everything seen in the photos. Please see pictures. I then wrapped the case in cellophane. This way there is less chance of the finish being marred during shipping. I put inflatable air tubes around the case to cushion the featherweight while it is shipped. I take the spool pin cover off and put a piece of cardboard to cover the opening. I wrap the spool pin cover in cellophane and bubble wrap. I then put the spool pin cover in the case. This way there is less chance of it breaking during shipping.
