Description: We selling a 14k white gold faceted domed Chalcedony ring outlined with approximately 40 diamonds layered in 2 tiers around the Chalcedony stone. The gold is clean, bright and shiny. The Chalcedony stone has no chips or dings and is very nicely cut with 4 facets in a domed shape. The Chalcedony features an intriguing style with a square faceted domed shape outlined with a row of diamonds forming the square with a second tier of diamonds on the left and right side of the setting. The other 2 sides are cut out in white gold to form the base holding the stone. The diamonds are not graded but appear to be clear and bright giving the ring and stone a brilliant look. Ring size 6 1/2; weighing 6.62 grams. The Chalcedony appears to be uniform in color nice blue throughout. Chalcedony is believed to be one of the world’s oldest gems and is considered somewhat rare. Sometimes the stone is referred to the “holly blue” with a hardiness of 6.5-7 on the Moh’s scale making it a very durable stone such as with sapphires. The gem itself is considered to be a protector to negative energy which promotes emotional stability. Pictures were taken mostly on a grey cleaning cloth which was used to show the brilliance of the ring. Very attractive and can be worn for any occasion. Acquired from a Middleburg, VA estate.
