Featured in the center is one round brilliant cut emerald with an average diameter of 5.6mm and a depth of 3mm surrounded by sixteen diamonds (four 4.5x2.75mm marquis cuts and twelve 3 to 4mm long baguette cuts), giving the ring a total gem weight of approximately TWO CARATS! These gems are nicely matched and VERY GOOD QUALITY, EXCEPTIONALLY BRIGHT AND VIBRANT! The diamonds are eye clean (SI) and white (I-J), and the emerald has characteristic inclusions and breathtaking bright transparent vivid green color! This estate item is in very good pre-owned condition with no significant wear or damage, and any blemish on the polished yellow gold finish in the pictures is caused by reflection. This substantial size cocktail style ring weighs six grams total, it sits 17mm (over 5/8") wide on the finger (from the hand to the knuckle), and it is sure to turn heads everywhere it goes! Crafted of PURE (not gold plated, filled, gild, guilt, layered, or whatever they are calling the fake stuff nowadays) 14K YELLOW GOLD (stamped and tested), this size five (as pictured) ring has a triple wire shank so while it can be resized larger by your qualified jeweler (anywhere up to a size eight) doing so will effect the wire design. Please note that almost all emeralds have inclusions that are visible to the naked eye and this one is no exception. What separates better quality is the color saturation and brightness and this emerald grades high for both! Also note that emeralds are often treated to enhance clarity but this one has only been oiled (and just about every emerald is oiled).
