The book has a hard cover, with an embossed pattern on it as well. The book was published by Dodd, Mead, and Company, and has a copyright date of 1877. The cover has some scuffs and stains on it, as well as some wear at the corners and edges, but is in very good condition, for its age. The spine and binding are holding well, although they are beginning to loosen and tear away, but as of now are still in good shape. The book has 323 pages, and all are intact and in good condition, but are slightly yellowed with age. This is an amazingly well-kept book that is a first edition and over 144 years old. It would be a must have addition to your collection of first edition books.
