In between are strong cuts from Bikini Kill, Heavens to Betsy, Pee-Chees, Team Dresch, and several others. What separates this from so many other mediocre compilations flooding the market is that it highlights the best song from each single, sort of like an indie rock version of one of those '70s and '80s K-Tel "best-ofs."
