Description: You are bidding on one set of rare and elegant early 19th C Davenport (6) plates with (1) compote. Each plate and compote center have a different hand-painted scene with a very elaborate gilded border design on peach background. The compote and two of the plates are numbered on the back. The set makes a beautiful cabinet or wall display, or for use. Size of compote: 9 7/8" diameter X 2 7/8" tall, diameter of plates: 9 1/4" Very good condition consistent with age. Some crazing, slight minor wear to gilding on rim and very slight surface marks; compote has several hairlines on the foot of the base. Refer to the photos as they are part of the description.
