Description: Earliest Photo of Abraham Lincoln. Condition is "New". In 1994 The Eastman Museum, the internationally recognizedmuseum of photography and film, in Rochester, New York, held a celebration and opening where theydisplayed their acquisition of what they believed to be the first photo ofLincoln. As am international museum, I am sure they did significant researchbefore purchasing this piece. At that time they created special prints of this daguerrotype. This print which measures 18 x24 is unusualin that the front is a matte with the exception of the picture of Lincoln whichis glossy that more closely depicts the actual photo. The back of the print has a heavy weightwhich was probably done to add longevity to the print. A few years ago there were only 24 of these knownto be available in the world. The Eastman Museum had 4 prints which were forsale for $140 each. A print collector inRochester New York had 10 and I have 10.I am offering 8 of these for sale for $150 each to buyerswithin the continental United States. If you are outside the continental UnitedStates contact me and we will arrange for a way for you to get the print afterdetermining what the extra shipping and other chargers would be. The print willbe carefully rolled and then put into a plastic bag and then inserted into amailing tube. This will make it easier for you to remove the print from thetube.I am not offering returns as there have been too manyscammers perpetrating fraudulent transactions and I just don’t want to dealwith that, as I have had to deal with several of these in the past and evenrecently. If you have any question before purchase just send me yourquestions. Thank you.
