Originally marketed as its own sub-series of Dickens Villages with sleeves that read “A Christmas Carol”. The set was introduced in 1986 and retired in 1995. These early pieces were made in Taiwan, later pieces in Philippines. The Dept 56 code is the same for all three pieces 56.65005. Fezziwig’s Warehouse early pieces have panes cut out of the front door. Later ones have a solid door. Scrooge & Marley Counting House is the first edition with this name. It was re-issued in 2000 as a standalone piece. The Cottage of Bob Cratchit is believed that Dickens modeled his version of this home after his own childhood home on Bayham St. in Camden Town. The accessories include Fezziwegs and Friends, item 56.59285, Carolers on the Doorstep, item56.55700 and Christmas Carol Characters, item 56.65015. Items have been stored in a smokefree climate-controlled setting and have not been shown for many years. Boxes and sleeves show the normal signs of wear. All are complete and are in mint condition.
