Description: Payment | Shipping | Additional Information | Policies 1825 Davenport Stone China Chinoiserie Pattern Reticulated Basket & Underplate Beautiful early 19th century oval reticulated transferware basket form bowl and underplate. A ring of interconnecting circles band the central portion of the bowl, the overlaping areas being cut away in a pointed lozenge shape. Rolled handles at each end. A floral border rings the edge and foot. The underplate is also pierced with the same border. Both pieces show the same Asian-inspired Chinoiserie pattern, which was very common for Davenport's wares at this point in their history. None of them were named, and the mark on the underside of these pieces only spell out "Davenport Stone China" with the company's anchor motif. These pieces have been in a private collection since the mid-1960's. We are selling off a collection of many other pieces in this pattern in our other listings. In immaculate, perfect condition. No chips, flakes, cracks or repairs. No wear. Any flaws are original to the manufacturing process. The bowl measures just under 3.5" tall, and 10.75" from handle to handle. A little over 6.5" deep from front to back. The base is appx. 6" x 3.75". The underplate is 10.75" x 7.5". Together, the pair stands 3.75" tall. Shipping is FREE in the Continental USA.
