It's an original set that looks brand new.It will take your breath away on first seeing it, and willbe a great conversation piece when friends come over. The set weighs about four pounds in all. The bowls of the stem unscrewfor washing; however I do recommend washing the chrome stems andshaker top as well - chrome is by no means indestructible and the sugarsfrom cocktails is very destructive over time. It its usual to acknowledge that antique items such as these have some slight wear as you would expect from a shaker set of this age. That said these pieces really are nearlypristine.
