Description: Up for sale is a document appointing Lowell Pinkerton a Foreign Service Officer. Signed by Calvin Coolidge as president and Frank Kellogg as Secretary of State. Presidential seal present and in nice condition. Dated December 17th, 1927. Nice Coolidge signature. Pinkerton had a distinguished career in the foreign service and, among other assignments, was the first U.S. Ambassador to The Sudan. Document is in nice condition and measures approximately 22 x 18 inches. Has one fairly large crease below seal and minor creases elsewhere. It has been stored unframed and rolled and will ship that way.
