This is special as it uses the Midnight Blue coating that was not an option when this was available for orders and was done as an exclusive for the 2017 Blade show. This Model was available for "Operation Two Weeks" starting February 24, 2016 through February 28, 2016 and has been discontinued so can no longer be order from the Busse Company Website! The BG FSH - Battle Grade Fusion Steel Heart was introduced by Jerry Busse on 2/23/17 but it wasn't until the next day that Garth Reckner released all the specs and info. There were two version of this knife made, there was the thicker version that is 5/16" thick, and an thinner version that is 3/16" and they were at separate prices. Both use a coated SR101 Blade Steel with a Magnum Textured Handle. These went Live on February 28, 2016 and didn't last long and sold out fast! This knife is a much older model that was brought back and made in the SR101 Battle Grade version to allow a much lower price for those that wanted to purchase this to use without paying collectors prices. If this was made of INFI, because of this fat Blade, it would be the HOGFSH - Heavy Ordinance Grade Fusion Steel Heart which was released in 2004. So this knife for sale in this listing is the very first time they used the Midnight Blue coating on this model and it was an exclusive for the 2017 Blade Show. The color is beautiful that shows different colors at different angles as you can seen from the pictures. This color blade goes very well with the Magnum Textured Black G10 Handle. This one that is listed is the thicker version and has the Midnight Blue coating and the Magnum Textured Black/Tan G10 Handle. There was a very limited supply of these Fatter version of the Battle Grade Fusion Steel Heart. As part of "Operation 2 Weeks" it wasn't around for long and is now discontinued! This is Brand New, never used, carried or sharpened.This is made of the SR101 Blade Steel which is a Legendary Steel is used mostly by Busse Combat's Sister Company Scrap Yard Knife Company and Swamp Rat Knife Works!
