The mission Breklumer has been founded by a German missionnary Christian Jensen (1839-1900). Pastor in Breklum, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, he founded the breklumer printing house, and the Christian bookstore; in 1876 he founded the Lutheran Evangelical Missionary Society of Schleswig-Holstein at Breklum. Ernst Pohl and his friend Bothman, two missionaries of this mission, went to india on 31/12/1881. After going to Jadgalpur and Koraput, they build the first mission house in Salur.
