I highly recommend heat treating the shoulders or case hardening both pieces after you've sorted out your mounting situation. Any reputable heat treater can do this at a reasonable cost. This die and plunger will be milled on state-of-the-art CNC equipment. It won't be flame cut, water jet cut, laser cut, etc. It'll be milled on a Haas VF2 for the utmost qualityno heat affected zone, no slag, no jagged cuts, no taper.
