Description: Art deco reproduction poster print of the 1938 Leonetto Cappiello advertisement for Mossant French Hats. This is the first in a series of four European Vintage Art posters by Cappiello. Includes wood poster frame. Cappiello was one of the most acclaimed European artists of the first half of the twentieth century. These works were specifically created for billboard advertising during 1910 - 1940. Cappiello started his career working as a caricaturist, then moved on to painting and advertising poster design. Cappiello decorated the halls of the Galeries La Fayette in Paris and were exhibited at the Exposition des Arts Decoratives in Paris in 1939, the last such major art exhibit prior to the outbreak of world war II.
