The features of the carving remain crisp and are executed in high relief using 3 layers of the shell. The top orange layer is used to highlight the Goddess' hair and gown. She seems to come to life off of the shell base and truly is a wearable work of art! An Heirloom from a bygone era of hand made jewelry as opposed to today's mass manufactured pieces.
