Description: Antique Morgantown Cambridge Ebony Decanter Sterling Overlay and Crystal Stopper Antique Cambridge or possibly Morgantown Ebony Decanter with Sterling Overlay and Crystal StopperI believe the decanter is from the 1920's to 1930's and is most likely made by either Cambridge or Morgantown. The image on the decanter represents a hunt or chase through an open field with a man on horseback holding a lasso while being aided by hounds. I could not find this particular pattern or one similar on other pieces. The overlay is marked sterling. I did not remove the octagonal shaped stopper, I merely inspected the exterior of this elegant piece. The decanter measures approximately 7 inches from the base to the top of the stopper and about 6 at its wide section.The base of the decanter shows some scratches which is normal for a displayed piece. There are sections where the silver overlay is no longer present on the decanter but the remains of it can still be seen. I believe it is predominantly on one dog but are also on sections of the field where they are running.
