Description: A superb example of this Moorish influenced Spanish six lugged pestle and mortar cast in solid bronze, the mortars body is profusely decorated with deeply etched curved shapes with the top edge being decorated with etched flower heads, one of the lugs as a highly decorated ring attached to it, the combined weight of both mortar and pestle is approximately 2.5 Kg, approx height 4.5".
