Description: This is an antique wall calendar by Matt Parrott & Sons out of Waterloo IA. I believe it was produced sometime around 1917 due to the years printed on the instructions (see 5th photo above). It's in fair condition, some of the day sheets are in fairly good shape, but the first 15 or so have a few more condition issues which you should expect (water stains, rips, tears, etc). The calendar seems to have sat on the 20th for a long time b/c the other pages don't like to flip down anymore, they remain bent upward if you do move them down. I also worried that I would risk ripping the pages out completely if I were to force the pages to continue to fold down. The month and day of the week can be changed by rotating them where they are, they operate on a wheel hidden inside the calendar. These wheels turn rather easily and there doesn't appear to be too much wear present there. The tin of the calendar is in fairly good condition with some bumps and bends on the corners. The main Army art at the front is also a bit worn and shows some tearing. All in all it's a nice piece of history for a century old calendar, and would look nice as a bit of wall art, or you could attempt to re-condition it into a daily calendar again. Let me know if you have any questions, please review the photos.
