I think I see some pink in his cheeks. Could be a tintype or an ambrotype. Image size is about 2 5/8 in x a little over 3 1/8 in. I added photos of the back of the image so that you may make your own assessment. My mom would cringe if she knew I were taking this apart. She always got after me for doing this. I’d say I was right when I guessed ambrotype thanks to helpful eBayer.
