Description: Antique LARGE 11" BLUE & WHITE Swirl ENAMELWARE GRANITEWARE Campfire Coffee Pot Click images to enlarge Description ANTIQUE GRANITEWARE COFFEEPOT Wonderful antique American graniteware campfire size coffeepot measuring a whopping 11" tall, 6-1/2" wide at the top lid and 9-1/2" wide at the flat base. Featuring a canted shape with sturdy metal swing handle, dog ear brackets, applied side handle with hollow roll for ease in holding, and wire hinged lid with loop finial. Complete with pierced sieve within the interior pouring spout to catch grounds and beans bits, it was designed as a campfire coffeepot - would have been used primarily on cattle drives and camping trips - it has been holding large bouquets of flowers in my country kitchen (I simply put an open glass jar in the interior to hold the water so there was no chance of rusting over time). Condition is very good with a wonderful shiny finish - interior has a build-up of staining and residue from holding coffee - a chip and faint dent at that point on one side and minor wear around the edge and handle - lid only retains one of the wire "hinges" but the remaining works just fine to hold it in place. Just a lovely coffeepot - blue and white swirl graniteware decoration is just striking - a wonderful statement piece and a nice addition to any enamel collection or display!
