Description: Selling off some of our finest oddities on display at the Museum of Gods & Monsters in NY. This gong was one of 4 but the only to survive a museum fire in 2019. It’s a stunning Sarawak Gong drum, supposedly that which only the rich/aristocratic can afford, featuring TWO raised Naga/Dragon, Watery Creatures and Prosperity Feng Shui symbols along the gongs side body. A popular wedding gift amongst the Dayak people as well. Age: Circa 1920. Origin: Sarawak Borneo Extremely heavy. Includes museum plaque.
