Description: Antique 10" Gebruder Heubach Character y Doll Intaglio eyes and Somber face. Beautiful boy doll. Doll looks to have preserved well for its age with minor imperfections. One leg has had repair done and wrapped with tape. The Solid bisque head is in very nice condition with minor porous bisque imperfections. Doll is made of nice dome bisque head and leather body. handsome doll has a somber type face with intaglio painted eyes and closed mouth and nice cheek coloring. Hair is Molden light brown hair. On the neck incised " 2/0 Germany". Approximately 10 inches. Not sure of age of doll but believe to be manufactured in the early to mid 1920's. Doll well over hundred years so aging wear on doll is visible. Doll is redressed vintage clothes, (white shirt, tie, red vest, Strossers, underwear, socks and shoes).
