Description: Antique 1879 Russian Sterling Silver Snuff Box Engraved - FULL HALLMARKED - READ Hallmark Stamps - Bottom - In photo 2 On the far right is the Moscow city crest stamp - To the left of that is the number 84 which notates the metal purity of sterling as per Russian standards of the day - To the left of that on the bottom is the stamped year of creation 1879 - Above that are Russian letters Which are the Silversmiths personal stamped mark. Hallmark Stamps - Top - In photo 3 on the left is the Moscow city crest stamp, below that is the date of 1879 the year created and below that is 84 again the metal purity for sterling - To the right is the Assayer's mark - which is someone who stamps their mark of approval for weight, purity and overall authenticity.
