Marionette is made of wood with moveable joints for puppet movement, the part for handle strings is wooden. Yoke Thay (Myanmar Marionettes) is the traditional string puppets of Myanmar. It is, in fact, wooden marionettes manipulated by means of strings. Myanmar Yoke-Thay is the blend of sculpture, painting, costuming, embroidery, and dramatic arts.
