Description: Two linen postcards show views of the YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association) Hotel at 826 E. Wabash Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. With 2000 rooms, men, women and families were welcomes. Some rooms had running water or showers, and rates were from $1 to $2 per day. Both are in excellent condition. - First card shows a room with a marine type built-in bed and a nautical theme. An art deco type border on 3 sides shows portholes and a beach. - Second card, with deckled edges, shows three views of the roof garden. A long view with chairs and umbrellas is at left. To the right is a view of people playing outdoor games, and one of an indoor social event. Postmarked 1941.
