Shirley's 1965 Plymouth Belvedere was powered by a 426 Cubic Inch HEMI Motor and was tuned by her then husband H.L. Shahan . Shirley Shahan was the 1st woman to win a Major Event in Drag Racing History . This event was covered by ABC Television's "Wide World of Sports" .
