Description: This 1943-S War Year Nickel with 5 Full Steps is a highly valuable piece among ERROR coin collectors due to its unique features. The coin is UNcirculated and should grade out around Ch to GEM, in our opinion. This particular coin escaped Quality Control at the mint facility and has a Lamination issue on the obverse of Jefferson's shoulder which had the error been seen by the folks doing Quality Control, the mint would have simply re-cycled the coin. There are some very interesting Lamination Errors on War Year Nickels in particular due to the coins metal composition not holding up.
