Description: 1930/40s Butterfly Pierced Brooch Green and clear Simply couldn’t resist, had to get it. All the stones are present, they’re not as bright, but the butterfly shape is what got me. The back pin style seems of a later date - but it works fine. This pierced brooch is possibly by “Staret Jewelry Co. in Chicago” which was active in 1941-1947. There are over 17,000 butterfly species in the world, this one is really a beauty. It is a rare piece of vintage jewelry. Approximate dimensions: 2 ¼” top wing span 1 ½” bottom wing span 2” high · Color variations may result due to different monitors, screen brightness, use of Flash · Smoke and pet free environment · Sometimes we recycle cardboard boxes for shipping – often we use them as the outer box. By doing so, we help reduce the waste in landfills. Most importantly – a lot of trees will be saved in the process (Timber is what’s used to make the pulp for the cardboard).
