Scarce antique pre prohibition lidded stoneware beer mug. Measures approx 5" tall x 4" wide. I would date this mug to the early 1900s, but the exact age is unknown. Certainly very old and original. The item is in nice condition but naturally shows areas of wear and tear and patina from age. There is a small blemish on the D in De near the top center. Not sure if it is a manufacturing defect or flaw. There is crazing throughout, which is common for mugs of this period. There are areas of staining and patina to the metal lid. Besides that just the normal expected wear from age. I'm not trying to degrade the item as it is quite nice, just trying to be thorough. Will be well packaged and insured for safe delivery.
