Description: This is a dovetailed reproduction in solid mahogany of the 18th century original pipe box which hangs in Congress Hall, Philadelphia, PA. It was reproduced for the 1976 Bicentennial by the Holmes Company in Wrightsville, PA. Their reproductions were authenticated by the Bicentennial Seal, Inc. approved items and were part of the Independence National Historical Park Bicentennial Collection. The box is 12.5” tall, 6.25” deep and 6.5” wide. Like the Congress Hall original, it has a rich, beautiful waxed patina. NOTE: The pictures from the lndependence Park Collection and the last photo which shows the box wall mounted with clay pipes are for demonstration only and not included. The clay pipes can be purchased from Colonial Williamsburg. Thanks!
