Description: 1889 Great Britain shilling. The obverse shows the larger left facing bust of Queen Victoria. The obverse legend is the standard regnal legend for the period. The reverse shows a quartered shield of arms, with the garter around between it and the coin's edge. The date is in small size numbers at the bottom center. Nice original color of various shades of gray and silver. Both sides show very little loss of detail, with Victoria's face, hair, crown, and dress showing fine detail, and the detail of the crown, shield, and garter still all visible on the reverse. Only normal light marks and contact on the surfaces.
