Description: A Victorian 14K Gold Mourning Buckle Ring made of women hair. Rare, this sweet little ring is an example of the jewelry of sentiment. It memorializes the hair of a loved one. It is in remarkably great shape, the gold parts of a buckle include, the prong, frame, loop and end tip. The parts work but are not meant to be opened only when created. The gold loop and end tip are beautifully engraved. The ring is a size 6 but since hair is textural it takes a small effort to slide on after your knuckle. It is an unusual feel being a natural substance if that makes sense. It was a personal piece of my Hair collection. Sadly, my ring finger size has changed and I can no longer wear it.
