Description: Flawless Bisque socket head with pleasant coloring and fine painting of features. What an appealing face! The body is of fine quality - original fully jointed composition and wood. He has brown sleep eyes with painted upper and lower lashes and multi stroke brows. The open mouth has 4 upper teeth. There are pierced ears, dimpled chin, and an original curly blond mohair wig. The doll is dressed in a fine quality antique Scottish costume with matching hat and fancy shoes. The costume has never been removed and I did not remove for photos as I did not want to disturb anything about this perfect little Scottish doll. The back of the hose do show thinning in fabric secondary to age – please see picture. He has a 34 close to bottom of neck. This may be a size indicator?The doll has pierced ears...so maybe a girl? There is a fatory flaw near the aerlobe of one ear. Stringing in legs is loose and restringing might be good but I am not comfortable removing costume to do this. he can be positioned standing even with loose stringing.Doll was purchased at $1100 from an antiques dealer several years ago.Smoke free home.
