Description: This listing is for a really nice 14 karat white solid gold gents ring featuring a round brilliant shape natural diamond. In reality, all rings are unisex and could be worn by anyone who wants to wear them. But this ring is truly fine for a man or a lady with a larger hand. It could be utilized as an engagement or wedding band but is perfectly suitable to be a fashion ring for a right hand or a larger pinky finger. The diamond measures approximately 4.8 mm in diameter and 3.0 mm in depth with an actual weight of 0.51 carat. The diamond is a light champagne color; graded at C-2 on the Argyle scale that ranges from light champagne (C-1) to deep cognac (C-7). On GIA's scale it would be in the S to Z range; but it has a light brownish body color rather than yellowish, so we usually use the Argyle scale for diamonds like this. It is graded at I-2 in clarity with an eye visible flaw on the edge of the stone. But the diamond is well cut with a nice, high crown and small table, and the flaw does not detract too much from the diamond's overall pleasing appearance! This diamond is 100% natural, earth mined, untreated, and unenhanced. Natural, earth mined diamonds have a many centuries long history of appreciating in value, whereas lab grown diamonds have an undeniable history of being available for less and less money every year! Don't settle for a mass-produced lab grown diamond that lacks the rarity of the diamonds your parents and grandparents had! This ring was manufactured by a fantastic company based in Minneapolis called Ostbye. The ring is from Ostbye's "Ultrafit" collection of heavyweight, comfort fit designs; style number UF23B02. These Ultrafit designs are incredibly comfortable to wear! They are closed backs except for a small clean-out hole under the diamond, and smooth and rounded on the inside. This ring weighs a very substantial 10.3 grams (over $515 just in scrap gold melt value as we write this!) and is approximately 7 mm wide at the top. It is currently a finger size 10. Actually, a little on the larger side of 10; but closer to 10 than 10.25. This ring is easily sizable by a competent jeweler. The ring was priced at $1,595 in our brick and mortar fine jewelry store that closed in 2020.
